Family Fun Month - Fruit animals!

For the last few days of the school holidays and bank holiday weekend, we thought you might need an idea for how to keep the kids (and you!) occupied. So for our last Family Fun Month post, we've found a fun-filled creative way to encourage healthy eating!

So how you do you make fruit & vegetables more exciting? Easy - make animals and creatures with them first! From banana caterpillars, and apple turtles, there's combinations you never would've known existed.
The recipe is simple:-

- A varied selection of fruit & veg
- Imagination!

It's a fantastic way for children to stretch their imaginations, and make ears and noses out of healthy foods - you can even encourage a bit of healthy competition - who can make the scariest bear or a colourful fish? Maybe the winner gets to eat it all!

We'd love to see some of your fruit creations!

Family Fun Month - Museum of Childhood

August is known as Family Fun Month, so lets celebrate it! We'll supply some ideas of things to do that the whole family can get involved in, so no-one gets left behind or bored during the summer!

At the Museum of Childhood in London, there's endless drop-in activities, arts and crafts and tours every day of the week, but they're also holding Fun Fridays, where on each Friday during the holidays there are workshops, story-telling sessions for all ages, the opportunity to play some traditional board games and a range of toys for the little ones.

So why not spend the day at the museum for some quality family time - the fun will never stop!

What fun activities are you going to be getting up to this month?

Family Fun this Halloween

Lots of family fun can be had this Halloween, dressing up is such an exciting thing for the kids to get involved with, to picking what scary animal they want to be, to ideas about how they want their costume.

If your kids aren't into dressing up, or you fancy something a bit more simpler, these Halloween face masks are a brilliant way to dress up!

Give the kids an activity by making their own face masks, colouring in the mask and using string to make it fit around their heads. Our fun face masks are only a few of the endless possibilities. You could try a pumpkin face mask, ghost or witch!
