Family Fun Month - Museum of Childhood

August is known as Family Fun Month, so lets celebrate it! We'll supply some ideas of things to do that the whole family can get involved in, so no-one gets left behind or bored during the summer!

At the Museum of Childhood in London, there's endless drop-in activities, arts and crafts and tours every day of the week, but they're also holding Fun Fridays, where on each Friday during the holidays there are workshops, story-telling sessions for all ages, the opportunity to play some traditional board games and a range of toys for the little ones.

So why not spend the day at the museum for some quality family time - the fun will never stop!

Happy Halloween - Prepared to be spooked!

Happy Halloween!

We hope you are enjoying a spooky Halloween, filled with trick or treating, pumpkins and dressing up.

We did our very own pumpkin carving evening on Tuesday, which resulted in three very good pumpkins (if we do say so ourselves)

If you are stuck for something to do this weekend, head on down to Tulley's Farm in Crawley, West Sussex for their Halloween event, Spooktober Fest!

Spooktober Fest is the UK's No 1 Halloween family attraction and is jam packed full of activities, fun shows, excitement and haunted houses. Activities at the festival include a fancy dress competition, spooky trail and spook hunt, fireworks, horrid hayride and scary fun house! If you're planning on taking the children, don't worry, all the activities have a scare factor so you know exactly which activities to take them too.

Shoreham Airshow!

As one of the premier family airshows in the UK, the Shoreham Airshow is a brilliant event that attracts the best UK and European display acts to its event each year.

Taking place next weekend on the 30th and 31st of August, the Airshow is a family fun day, with aircraft displays and exciting aerobatic displays. If you are a plane enthusiast, this is an event for you. The event this year will also see a new attraction which is a World War Two Scenario!

Held to support the work of the Royal Air Forces Association, this event raises so much money for this great cause, which provides comradeship to all members of the Royal Air Force and Royal Air Force Regiment. Since the show first started it has raised over £1.8 million for the RAFA.

The best of British Countryside!

The South of England showground in Ardingly, West Sussex is opening its gates this weekend for the South of England Show. Taking place on the 5th, 6th and 7th of June, it is the showgrounds flagship event, putting the spotlight on the best of British agriculture, food and drink, country crafts and many other things.

Myself and Ava went to the show last year, and it did not disappoint. Full of lovely country craft ideas, as well as food stalls and a huge food hall full of the best in British food, such as olives, meats and homemade chutneys and jams. We came home laden with fresh food, perfect for bbqs and delicious snacks.

The show is a great place to spend time with friends and family, and wonder the grounds looking at all the animals, food and crafts available. There are a number of food stalls so you have such a wide choice of food on offer for everyone to enjoy. As well as a wide selection of stalls selling British garden furniture, crafts and British made products.

As you can see, the grounds for the show are massive, with lots of choice for how to spend your day! Me and Ava will be there this year (hopefully) enjoying the sunshine.
