Ellie Ellie Wears - can’t go wrong with a Levi label.

Blue is the colour of the month (well technically aqua marine..) so we’ve pieced together this little number featuring the iconic Levi jeans, which with a bit of hunting you can find yourself an uber cool vintage pair. You can often find them hanging around in London’s Rokit store- “if you see ‘em grab ‘em” is our rule of thumb at Ellie Ellie HQ.

We love this oversized powder blue piece of knitwear from Topshop, works perfectly with the Levi’s stronger shade. For a finishing touch the Ted Baker shirt gives that little bit of glam, making this outfit perfect for a shopping trip or a casual evening drink down town.
Ellie Ellie’s Upcycled Sixpence Necklace is the perfect tool to finish this outfit off, when worn on our longer chains. It’s cute ornate frame gives the outfit that vintage edge which is bang on trend according to LFW!
Voila, get on the blue!

Ellie Ellie Wears - Red Is The Colour

As ever TK Maxx is a first port of call on the Red Nose Day fashion fix. Good old Stella McCartney has yet again brought a feel good collection of t-shirts to the high street to raise money for this incredible worldwide cause. Stella has an effortless way of designing easy to wear tongue-in-cheek fashion that the industry has fallen in love with, all the world over.

The 2013 tees have been wholeheartedly manufactured in Africa. 100% of the cotton sourced from Fairtrade certified, organic cotton co-operatives in Mali, which is something that Ellie Ellie are in full favour of.  My personal fave features Marilyn Monroe- I’ve never seen  a women look hotter with a red nose and Harry Hill glasses, have you? The girl’s still got it.

We’ve paired the tee with a pair of Warehouse heavy black leggings, some Hollywood red platforms and Ellie Ellie’s very own Upcycled Building Brick Ring, for that finishing touch.

Just a tad smitten with these shock red beasts from Topshop. LANIE Platform Wedges from Topshop are a concoction of the biggest shoe trends this season –bright and chunky. Working perfectly with the Marilyn tee to give that red a bit of pop, it’s almost criminal not to team them up.

The Ellie Ellie ring, just adds to that childhood fun of the tee. Our rings are handmade from original LEGO pieces in our Brighton based HQ,really adding some strength to the ethical elements behind Stella’s Comic Relief collection.

If you’re really going all out, team with a warm red MAC lippy and an oversized tote t’boot.

Whatever you’re doing this Friday, dig deep and donate and help us move forward around the UK and in Africa.

Time to Lose the LBD!

Ladies, its time to hang up your LBD! Slim fit maxi dresses are paving the way for sophistication and elegance.

Designers like Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen began the trend, and if you fancy following in their footsteps go for bold colours and jewel tones, but keep the accessories simple. Deep red and velvet appear throughout, which adds to the luxuriousness of this trend. Perfect for the ‘English Rose’ complexion, wear a strong coloured lipstick to compliment the outfit, and contrast your pale skin.

Two British design houses leading the way, there is an air of patriotism to both collections, especially with the red and white colour palette.

If you ate too many chocolates over Valentine’s Day, these dresses cover up a plethora of body sins too!

Crafty Coasters

We found a great crafty present idea on Apartmenttherapy.com to add a unique and quirky look to your table! Just take a couple of slices of birch from a craft or flower shop, and trace your design through some carbon paper onto the wood. Paint or colour in however you fancy, and you have the perfect personal coaster for guests at a party, or something lovely for the home to make for the coming of Mother’s Day!
To keep your decorations looking perfect for longer, simply paint over or spray with some varnish.

Not quite as crafty but you still want something personal and from the heart? Ellie Ellie has just launched their NEW Personalised Map Paperweight, which you can personalise with any town or city from around the world. Handmade in Ellie Ellie's Sussex based HQ, each one is totally unique for the individual. Gorgeously nostalgic and useful! What more could you want?

If however, you're one step ahead of the game and have already got Mother's Day on the brain, why not try one of these..
A gorgeous chunk of silver plated, memory hinting awesomeness! A timeless piece to be treasured. Personalisation is up to you, world is your oyster! How about the location of a fantastic family holiday, or where her children were born? Go for it, she'll love it. Check it out, here.
