One Year Ago Today!

This year we are taking the time to look back on the amazing milestones and events that happened in 2014! It was a year ago today that we received our copy of 'Shape Up Your Business' by Sophie Cornish and Holly Tucker, founders of Notonthehighstreet.com. 

There was something brilliant about getting the physical copy as Danielle contributed some of her own business advice to the book, answering questions about how she has developed Ellie Ellie and grown it to what it is today! Some of our Notonthehighstreet friends are in it too!

Small Business Saturday!

Small Business Saturday is s day to celebrate, support, inspire and promote small businesses. Taking place this Saturday, the 6th of December, loads of small businesses will be getting involved in the day. Highlighting the success of small businesses around the UK, Small Business Saturday encourages consumers to shop local and support small businesses on the high street and online.

One of the great things about being a small business at Ellie Ellie is that we are able to offer our customers options to personalise their gifts, with our personalised map jewellery and word definition cufflinks and pendant.

Help our High Street Hero!

Hubbub is a brilliant initiative to save the high street, a home delivery service on a mission to bring back your local high street.

It was started in 2008 by a brilliant woman called Marisa Leaf, who decided being a human rights barrister wasn't for her. Tired of living off takeaways and supermarket food, she realised lots of people who didn't have the time to shop locally would benefit from a delivery service which used local butchers, fish mongers and vegetable shops on the high street. Somewhere people could order conveniently online but from local stores to support their local highstreet, with fresh ingredients and better value for money.

Not on the High Street Make Awards!

If you keep up to date with us on Facebook or Instagram you may have seen that we won two very special awards at the beginning of the week at the Not on the High Street 2014 Make Awards! Danielle and Ava went up to the awards celebrations on Monday, where they were greeted by a glorious spread of afternoon tea and champagne.

We were shortlisted for two awards, the Business Advice Award, which recognised the partner who has offered practical guidance and advice to help members of the community find their feet. We were also shortlisted for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which recognised the partner who captures the finest in creative and entrepreneurial spirit.

We were so proud to be shortlisted with some brilliant partners for both awards and to win was such a big achievement for us at Ellie Ellie! Here are some snaps we want to share with you of the awards ceremony!

As you will know, Ellie Ellie are moving to a lovely new office space in Hove. Leaving our current office for a new adventure. Time has gone so quickly since we got the keys and we have been busy preparing the office for the big move. We don't want to give too much away until we move in but we have some sneaky pictures to share...

Ellie Ellie is celebrating its 2nd birthday today! We are celebrating the Ellie Ellie way, with a lot of cake and bucks fizz, thinking back on the past year and what are best moments have been!
