Fruity Summer Treat!
The method is also very simple too, simply measure out 250g of frozen fruit (make sure your fruit is frozen before making) and 250g of greek yogurt. Also get the honey out of the cupboard, you'll only need 1 tablespoon.
Put all the ingredients into a mixing bowl or food processor and whiz up for 30 seconds until all the ingredients are mixed.
Not only does it look delicious, it tastes delicious too, it's such a quick and easy little snack, lovely to watch Wimbledon this coming week or when it gets too hot outside!
What Summer recipe will you be making? Have you made any yummy recipes using fruit this Summer?

Recycle Week!
Now in its 12th year, we're right in the middle of Recycle Week! The theme this year is "Recycling around the home". Just having a think about the products you buy and have in your home is the first step to efficient recycling. You can always head over to Recycle Now and simply search for an item to find out how to dispose of it correctly, and if it can be recycled.
Glass - The UK currently recycles 50% of glass containers like jars and bottles - once they are crushed and melted, they're molded into brand new ones! We have a whole collection of recycled glassware for your home, including tumblers, mugs and milk bottles!
At Ellie Ellie, we fly the flag to re-design, re-cycle and re-love. Here are some of the easily recycled materials that are used to make some of our beautiful eco-friendly products!
Wool - Our versatile Check Recycled Wool Blanket Rugs are made from recycled welsh wool, and have so many different uses, from picnics at the park to getting cosy in front of the fire at home. They are individually spun to create a variety of different designs, so there's a colour to suit everyone!

Plastic - One of the most used and popular materials. It's important we pop it all in our recycling bins to be sorted, shredded, and used again and again! Our Recycled Lunch Box and Jumbo Storage bags are made from recycled plastic, come in a range of prints, and fold flat for easy storing!
Be sure to take a look at Recycle Now's website to find out what you can recycle locally and at home, and help you achieve a sustainable lifestyle!

Happy Fathers Day!
Happy Father's Day to all the amazing, caring, funny, happy and lovely Dads out there today! We hope you are enjoying a great day!
Last week we posted some ideas of what to do with your Dad today, including a BBQ at some lovely National Trust gardens, or a day out at a classic car show. But there's always more relaxed options, like baking his favorite cake or letting him put his feet up while you make the tea!

What to do with Dad!
There's only a couple of days to go til Fathers Day, so we've been having a look for the best activities to do with Dad to make it a memorable one!
You can't go wrong with spoiling him with good food - Sheffield Park in Uckfield, East Sussex has it all figured out. They're holding a Father's Day barbecue lunch in the tearoom garden, and thanks to the local microbrewery, there'll be a selection of beers and ciders to wash it all down with! There's no need to book, and you can take the whole family along. Find out more here.
For the car mad Dad, head to Woburn Abbey for the Father's Classic Day Out! From military, saloon, sports cars to motorcycles and live music from bygone eras (that he might remember!), it's a real treat. In return for any donation, the kids can treat their dad to a Dream Ride, where they can jump into a classic vehicle and be driven through the countryside!
If you're not feeling too adventurous this year, why not just treat Dad to a lunch in a local pub, go fishing, or bake your own scones for a delicious cream tea indoors? Whatever you decide, he's sure to be spoilt rotten!

Celestial inspriation
This season we have been inspired by a trend that is out of this world - celestial motifs! They've been a strong influence throughout homeware and fashion, and now it's made its way to us at Ellie Ellie! It takes us to a world of wanderlust, exploration and mystery, and when it comes to jewellery, the night sky offers endless possibilities.
We've been swept away by the enchantment of the moon and stars in our British Idiom collection:

Happy Volunteers Week!
This week celebrates the contribution made by millions of volunteers across the UK each year. Volunteers do a massively amazing job giving up their time to help people and causes in need, and its because of the generous work carried out across the UK that many individuals get the care they need.
To mark Volunteers week last year, two members of the team went down to Brighton beach to take part in the Big Beach Clean. This was such a great event organised by The Argus - it saw loads of people get together, grab a litter picker, some rubber gloves and a bin bag and start cleaning up Brighton's coastline!
Whether you want to help out locally or branch out to other cities
and countries, there's always ton of opportunities to get involved with
charities and organisations. Here are just a few campaigns you can join this year:
Join In - if you're into sport and keeping active, this is your perfect opportunity to help people in your local town or city connect with sports clubs and groups. Visit their website to find out more.
RSPB - it's as important as ever that we protect nature! If you're interested in residential volunteering or helping out for a week or more on a reserve, check out RSPB's opportunities this summer!
National Trust - From outdoor activities, getting involved with the public to just making new friends, you can be sure to find something to suit you and your interests here! The National Trust offers roles with costumes, houses, and in the Great British countryside - you can even volunteer as a family! Have look at their huge list of events you can join in with.
