We are off to London in a couple of weekends time to visit the branding museum and all the glorious Christmas shops the city has to offer! Although London is right on our doorstep we very rarely get to go up there and we love any excuse to act as a tourist and soak in the sights. We found some great facts about the best tourist attractions, with random facts that might come in useful... one day!
Did you know that a penny is used to adjust Big Ben every year, and that 55% of the underground isn't actually underground!
Every week we post an inspirational quote on our Instagram and Facebook, we absolutely love an inspirational quote. It makes you step back and think about all the good things in your life, rather than dwelling on something that may have gone wrong the day before. At Ellie Ellie we have these inspirational quotes up in the office, to motivate the team and promote positivity! Here are some of our favourites so far...

We are very excited to show everybody (for those who haven't seen it) a little project we worked on for the Not on the High Street Make Awards! As part of our submission for entering the awards, we came up with the idea of this video, with inspiration from Charlie Chaplin, silent movies and the E4 show New Girl (we are big fans at Ellie Ellie)!
Hubbub is a brilliant initiative to save the high street, a home delivery service on a mission to bring back your local high street.
It was started in 2008 by a brilliant woman called Marisa Leaf, who decided being a human rights barrister wasn't for her. Tired of living off takeaways and supermarket food, she realised lots of people who didn't have the time to shop locally would benefit from a delivery service which used local butchers, fish mongers and vegetable shops on the high street. Somewhere people could order conveniently online but from local stores to support their local highstreet, with fresh ingredients and better value for money.
Currently operating in 200 postcodes across London, Hubbub is a growing business that is going from strength to strength. You can pop onto the website and see whether the Hubbub van will deliver to your home.
All you have to do is follow these simple steps on Hubbub to get your local food delivery! Simple!
If you keep up to date with us on Facebook or Instagram you may have seen that we won two very special awards at the beginning of the week at the Not on the High Street 2014 Make Awards! Danielle and Ava went up to the awards celebrations on Monday, where they were greeted by a glorious spread of afternoon tea and champagne.
We were shortlisted for two awards, the Business Advice Award, which recognised the partner who has offered practical guidance and advice to help members of the community find their feet. We were also shortlisted for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which recognised the partner who captures the finest in creative and entrepreneurial spirit.
We were so proud to be shortlisted with some brilliant partners for both awards and to win was such a big achievement for us at Ellie Ellie! Here are some snaps we want to share with you of the awards ceremony!
Thank you to all our customers for supporting the Ellie Ellie journey!
It's the start of September, and although August is behind us, that doesn't mean that we have to wrap up straight away. We are optimistic that the sunshine will stay with us (as reports suggest it may be here to stay for another 12 weeks) and this weeks outfit reflects this positivity, we are not ready to give up on the summer just yet. It may be the last time we get to wear shorts but lets hope Winter doesn't arrive too quickly.
This denim shirt from Rokit works well with these printed shorts from Lowie, with a fun retro print they are perfect for the Summer. The denim shirt can alternatively be teamed with jeans or a skirt or thrown over a dress! Finish off the outfit with these leather boat shoes from Bertie for a cool summer outfit. Our new Lucky Sixpence Date Coin Pendant works really well with this relaxed look, which you can customise with a special date.
Here at Ellie Ellie, we love trying new foods and attempting a fun food challenge. Now that we are all moved into our new HQ, we had our first Ellie Ellie food challenge, in which we has to guess the various flavours of the new Walkers crisps.
It was such a fun activity for everybody at HQ. If you have a chance, have a go, it's such fun! We made one of us the crisp master, who labeled up all the packets with a number (so you don't forget which is which). All the crisps were but into bowls and one by one, we guessed the different flavours. We had various random guesses, which were not even close to the flavours, such a hummus flavour, vegetable flavour and taco flavour!
Have a go at your fun crisp challenge, and look out for another food challenge at Ellie Ellie soon. Cheese obsessed Danielle is getting ready for a cheese challenge soon!
Since launching our new Lego storage bricks and storage head, we have been amazed by the amount of brilliant objects and furniture made from Lego. Everybody remembers creating a piece of magic when they were little made form Lego, and then starting again the next day with a new Lego adventure.
These pieces of furniture definitely took longer than your average time to complete, but are such a fun idea to add to your home.
Imagine having this island in your home, it is such a statement in a fun family home!
If a usual globe is not what you had in visioned for your desk, this Lego one is certainly a focal point!
We shared our scrumptious ice lolly recipe earlier in the summer and we can't get enough of the tasty fruity treat! If you didn't see the recipe before, take a look at our strawberry and yogurt lolly recipe! They were quick and easy to make and are perfect for the kids too!
We've found some other lovely looking lolly recipes that we can't wait to try, including these frozen berry & ginger nut yogurt pops, which would be great as a dinner party desert as well as a treat to cool off!
